HOW INDUCTION SEALING WORKS?

Induction sealing machine generally applies the induction heating technique to seal non-metallic containers, i.e. glass and plastic containers. The induction heating technique involved in this case has various applications, but mostly it’s utilized in the cap sealing. So, for cap sealing, it involves a non-contact mechanism of applying heat to the inner seal (usually aluminum foil since it’s an electric conductor) of the cap to firmly seal the plastic or glass bottle.

However, you need to know that inner seals are only advisable to use with containers of specific materials such as:

• Polyester
• Polyvinyl chloride
• Polythene, and other related thermoplastics.

Regardless of that, you have to take note that the induction sealer also does capless sealing and not restrictively cap sealing.

That’s why you’ll notice some packages sealed using only aluminum foil but capless.

Though, in either case, the procedure is purely non-contact and doesn’t make use of direct heat transfer.
